Group Interaction, Inc. Dance Committee Survey Results

The Dance Committee met on March 09, 2007, and is contemplating the following changes. We would like your feedback. If there is not enough room for your response(s) on this side of the sheet, use the other side.

There were 14 surveys collected. One survey response was on the reverse of a sheet.

Start the dance at 8 PM vice 8:30 and end the dance based on the number of dancers on the floor and/or rate of bar sales. Ex. less than 6 dancers on the floor –or- no bar sales for one (1) hour.

If you want feedback put the sheets on the tables so people will see them and perhaps respond. I doubt many take notice of them at the front door. (1)

Start time – 830 pm has served IA well for many, many years. Why change it now? (2) You say you want to attract a younger crowd, re: under 35 free in June. Well most of them don’t go out until later – was past 8pm; so what does IA gain by starting earlier? Even older people come later in the summer because of golf-yard work- swimming or kids, etc.

Closing time - when dancers are down to 4 or 6 dancers or at Lana’s discretion works for me. That has seemed to work without problem for a long time now. You don’t want to set an earlier time ‘in stone’ in case these young people show up at midnight like they used to do.

As it is my understanding IA pays a flat rate per Friday night; I do not see why lack of bar sales for 1 hour should be an issue. I have verified with the bar keeps and they don’t mind staying later and that sales is not an issue.

1. I did, just not on any tables against the poolside wall, where there are few dancers lately. However, I sure am glad that Lee & Brenda found a survey are responded. :-)
